I had about 2m left over from the TTP-2

I recently mounted tires on the Honphuri (Hon Phuri) rims I'd built up, and

after taping the rear wheel, I cut off the front wheel at just under half a circumference.

A quick side note
The reason the area opposite the valve stem on the tire tape surface doesn't have the decorative carbon weave pattern
is because they seal up the hole that was made to remove the balloon mold afterward.

Miyata tubular tape comes in the 20m TTP-1 and
5m TTP-2, but
since the customer brought in their own TTP-2, that's what we used.

However, if you use TTP-2 on both wheels (two applications total),
the third application will leave you with an awkward length of about half a circumference.
So on the second application, I used half of our shop's TTP-1
to make sure we'd use it all up cleanly on the third application.
If you're going to carry spare tape, it's even more important to do this.

The length per rim circumference is 1970mm, but
since I wasn't sure if the claimed 5m was exactly 5000mm,
I made the second application of TTP-2 just under half a circumference (the image above).
This way the third application should definitely have at least 2000mm left.

For more detailed discussion see (here).

I'm sure they're doing it on purpose, but I wish Miyata would make the TTP-2 come in 6m rolls,
even if the price went up by 20%.
