I received a Shamal Ultra from a customer.

The specs differ from the retail version.

One spoke and the rim are the original gold color,
and the remaining spokes are gray.
I used to have a tubular version of the original Shamal Ultra,
and I also had a clincher rim separately that I'd occasionally swap in and out.
This customer was using a gray Shamal Ultra,
but the rear wheel got buckled and became unusable, and the front rim was also worn down by braking,
so I gave him my gold clincher rim and we rebuilt it into this wheel.
Both wheels are perfectly centered, and aside from slight runout, everything checks out.
As for why I took it in for service,

it's because the bead hook on the rear rim got scraped up pretty badly from the road surface.
I don't think he had a crash—there was barely any runout.
I suspect he ran a bit on a flat tire.
Fortunately, the damage didn't extend to the brake zone,
so I lightly filed down the rough spots. Still plenty of life left in it.
By the way, regarding my old tubular rim,
it's still in active duty, in a manner of speaking.
