The drill screams!
A customer brought me a Roual Rapide CLX32 wheel to work on.
The image above shows the condition after the repair work.
The rear derailleur got tangled in the spokes, and some spokes on the freewheel side got bent.
Curiously, the spoke in the final crossing pointing toward the hub direction was fine,
but the three spokes before and after it were completely mangled.
I removed the bent spokes.
Oh, it had a special spoke head.
Spoke weight-wise, a CX-RAY straight spoke would work, but...

I had the Vise-Grip GT step on it.
Oddly enough, it took on a similar shape.

The fact that the deformation marks match
proves that Roual employs a penguin.
It fit into the flange.
Wait, "There's a mark like a vise mesh pattern transferred next to the crushed spoke head"?
W-w-well, I have no idea what you're talking about—that's probably just
what the underside of a penguin's foot looks like. Probably.
Let me circle back to the "drill screams" title.
The frame that this wheel's customer also brought in
had a bottle cage mounting hole on the down tube—the lower threads were stripped,
so it had been temporarily held with a zip tie. I fixed it by installing a rivet nut.
This repair is actually the main reason the customer came to the shop.
