Nomu Lab Wheel No. 7 (Provisional) Rim Has Arrived

Regarding Nomu Lab Wheel No. 6 (32mm high tubular),
that's essentially the same rim as a certain R company's THIRTY TWO wheel.
The reason I'm able to handle it is because that R company discontinued the 32mm.
The Japanese distributor for that R company also
handled a rim that's essentially a 32mm under the DWL brand
as a one-time spot order (no restocking), for the same reason.

I basically cannot handle the current model unnamed rim from that R company.

A customer dropped off a Reynolds wheel with me.

Assault on the front wheel, Strike on the rear wheel, both tubeless-ready WO rims.
Separately from this, after buying a Racing Zero, they noticed the rear Strike wheel feeling loose or sluggish with poor engagement,
and asked if there was anything we could do with more spoke nipple tension—but there wasn't.
The wheel is perfectly centered with virtually no runout and
the nipples are tensioned so well there's no room to turn them any further just for tightening.
With the free side in a dead end and the center already dialed in, there's nothing to be done.

By the way, some idiot brand was spouting off about aluminum spokes being pointless,
but here we have a rear wheel with anti-freewheel side radial steel spokes
at considerable rim height, tensioned as much as possible—and even this
gets a clear opinion from a certain rider (this customer) that it's inferior to the Racing Zero.
That idiot brand recently released a 2:1 laced rear wheel,
but its quality is below the previous model, and they actually made such a mess of it that
it's now at our shop for a rebuild. I'll talk about that another time.

↑This is Nomu Lab Wheel No. 7 (provisional).
It's not the same rim as the Assault.

It's a tubeless-ready rim with a hump, but
the construction looks unmistakably like that R company's.

I compared it with the Attack as well.

This rim measures 34.5mm high (the model name would probably be 35mm),
with rim height and weight between the Attack and Assault—
a rim height that doesn't exist from that R company.
The actual weight came to 430g plus or minus 5g.
If it were the Attack's unnamed rim, I'd think all specimens would be under 400g,
and I would have preferred that, but the R company is using them, so it wasn't possible.

Tori-aae-su, I'd like to even build just the sample,
but I don't have that kind of time.
