Built a front wheel with a rim from a brand with a shitty name

Another day with wheels (etc.).

A customer dropped off a rim from a brand whose name I shouldn't say out loud...

Oh wait, that's wrong.
This was actually a different job (different customer too)
for a Chinese carbon tubular rim I have on hand.

Sorry about that.

The rim packaging, part numbers, and label formats
that appear to be done by the manufacturer
happened to be the same, so I almost mixed them up.
This one is a carbon tubeless-ready (no hump) rim.

The customer ordered the rim without any cosmetic graphics,
so there's no work for me to do there.
The customer said I could write whatever I want,
but I mentioned they might not like the name situation,
and they said they didn't mind at all.

Built.

Black hub, 20H, CX-RAY reverse radial spoking.
The manual that came with the rim
had stuff in it that made me think,
"This guy still doesn't understand anything about wheels,"
so I built it ignoring those instructions.
I'll get into that when I write about the rear wheel.
Also, the claimed rim internal width was off by 1.5mm from my actual measurement (in diameter).

About the title: I'm not calling it shitty without reason.
It's based on a pure fact—that there are tons of people in the world
who feel that way when they hear this brand name.
