Another day, another wheel (and so on).

A customer left me a pair of front and rear 5.6 rims from Smart Envision System (SES).
The image above is the front rim, which is 54mm tall

a tubeless-ready rim with a hump rather than a bead bump.

On Envy rims, the sticker markings on either side of the valve hole usually read
"Handmade in USA" and "Serial Number,"
so I make it a habit to orient them with the Handmade in USA side on the right,
but this rim had Handmade in USA on both sides.
The specification of printing the serial number directly on the sticker
is quite tedious—if it doesn't stick cleanly and needs to be redone,
you have to prepare another sticker with the same serial number printed on it.
So maybe they discontinued that practice.

I use this as my reference for left and right:
whichever side the rim's model name reads correctly is the right side.
Eventually I'll apply rim tape (※),
and at that point the hub shell orientation becomes the new reference for left and right.
※With stretch-band type rim tape I write "張る" (to stretch), but
since this rim is definitely getting tubeless-ready tape, I'm writing "貼る" (to apply).

Built it up.
