Back to wheels again today (and so on).
A customer brought in a front wheel—a Mechanico 25mm high
carbon tubular rim.
16-hole, black CX-RAY with washers under the nipples, outpoke radial lacing.
The hub end cap is missing on one side,
so the customer wants the hub replaced and the wheel rebuilt.
Built it up.
Tni Wing hub, 16-hole, black CX Sprint outpoke radial lacing.
The customer wasn't strongly insistent, but they wanted to reuse the spokes.
That said, I wanted to avoid building a 16-hole front wheel with CX-RAY,
and besides, now that we have the CX Sprint option available,
there's no reason to use CX-RAY.
I was planning to use an Evo hub.
The Evo hub is discontinued, and the Evo Lite is discontinued in 16H and 18H as well,
but we have both 18H versions in stock.
We were the ones who bought the last one of each from our supplier.
Strictly speaking, I kept buying them until we had the last one left.
