Another day with wheels (and so on).

I took in a PowerTap for a rebuild.

This rim is from CycleOps, but I'm seeing it for the first time.

It's laced reverse Italian six-on-six.

Took it apart nicely and cleanly. Now to clean the hub.

↑The usual shots.
I keep saying this, but these are always different photos each time, just so you know.

The usual uninspired tape job, but

starting this time I'm using heat-shrink tubing instead.
To the person who recommended this in the comments: thank you.
Unlike tape, it's extremely resistant to grease and water infiltration, which is great.
(The special tape I used before is also very resistant, though)

Built it up. I've switched it to an XR300 rim.

Half-competition 48-spoke Italian lacing.
You can really see the spoke diameter difference between sides when you look at it like this.
I'm not pushing half-competition (freewheel side competition / non-freewheel side CX-RAY) on anyone,
but right now I'm getting a lot of requests for this lacing pattern on the aluminum rim rear wheels from Nomura Lab wheels.
