The discounted helmet has sold out

The OGK Kabuto discounted helmet that accidentally appeared in the background (playing dumb) of the other day's Maxxis tube arrival announcement has sold out.

It's a model called BC Oro.
It has synthetic leather attached to the sides of the helmet,

and you can also choose to install a visor
with the same aesthetic as a hat brim.

The back-of-head adjuster comes standard with a leather-type version,
but it also includes a dial-type one like you'd find on conventional models.
Since this type doesn't allow for easy fine adjustments with one hand
and our customer chose the dial-type from the start,
I photographed the one that was removed.

The helmet padding is A.I. Net.
A.I. Net stands for Anti Insect Net,
meaning the mesh portion prevents insects from getting in,
but it also has the effect of preventing your hair from puffing out
in the shape of the helmet holes when you take it off.
As someone from the Mini 4WD generation, I had the concept that
when you put mesh on hollowed-out car bodies,
it increases the motor's cooling effect,
but between A.I. Net and padding with block-shaped cushions arranged in various spots,
the latter without the mesh net actually feels cooler.
With Mini 4WD too, the manufacturers would tout all sorts of things about
vehicle downforce and aerodynamics,
but the road bike world is the same in that it
"may actually have measurable differences in strict measurement,
but presents minor performance impacts as if they were quite significant in terms of importance."
So anyway, if you're riding solo on flat ground with no wind
and can't maintain an average speed of 40 km/h for an hour,
forget about aero stuff — just get a light rim wheelset instead,
and you'll actually have an easier time!

With OGK Kabuto helmets,
the helmet shell usually comes standard with A.I. Net,
and separately you often get a Normal Inner Pad type
with cushioning arranged in various spots.
Some models even came with two types at 5mm and 10mm thicknesses
(like the Steair).

With this BC Oro, what came separately from the A.I. Net included on the shell was

a Winter Inner Pad with high wind-blocking performance.

With the current flagship road model Izanagi,
in addition to A.I. Net, it comes with a Normal Inner Pad (7mm thick, one type only)
and a Winter Inner Pad.

The other discounted item was the Aero R1 in this color.
It's a discontinued model since the successor Aero R2 came out.

I'm torn between whether to try for a second stroke of luck
or knowing when to quit... (probably won't do it).
