Another wheel day (and so on...).

I took in a front wheel from a Rovale CL40 for a customer.
It's a rim brake wheel

The hub is standard spec that doesn't crush the straight spoke heads,

The rim has internal nipples

It's a tubeless-incompatible rim.
Like the old Alpinist CLX,
there are traces of abandoning plans to sell it as a tubeless rim—
no central depression either,
so it uses a stretch band-type rim tape.
The customer wants me to change the spokes from hanging round spokes
to something that will make the wheel stiffer overall,
but this customer already owns another Rovale wheel that I rebuilt,
so they have a pretty good sense of what the result will be.

Rebuilt it.

I rebuilt it with black CX Sprint straight spokes.
Since it's 18H rather than 16H, CX-RAY would have worked too,
but weighing the slight weight savings that wouldn't be felt at the rim edge
against the noticeable difference in stiffness,
this is the choice I made.
