I have a couple of updates to share.
The topic in the title is the second one.

First, the first update.
Continental Grand Prix 5000 TR in 25C has been restocked.
Since this wasn't a long-term backorder item,
it's priced according to the current (post-price increase) official retail price.
Following up on the Grand Prix 5000 series restock announcement from the other day
(→here),
the 23C that was all priced at the old official price has sold out completely.Ugh, just ugh
I swear I didn't hold any back for myself.
There were only 2 units left before they sold out,
but I thought that if I bought just one for my personal use, the remaining single unit wouldn't let customers buy a front and rear pair,
so I didn't thin them out and they sold out right away.
If the final remaining stock had been 3 units, I probably would have bought one.
Th-thank you for your purchase(with tears of blood).
Also, the 28C tubeless-ready 5000 TR
old official price stock has also sold out completely.
Now at our shop, Continental Grand Prix 5000 series
with old official price stock
only has a few units of 28C non-tubeless clincher tires left,
and everything else has switched to the new official price stock.
May 22 addendum: Those sold out too, so
all Continental tires at our shop
have now switched to the new official price.
Also, what we called the "everyday tube support price"—a loss-leader price that had been popular for a long time—
the Race 28 tube (→here),
due to the price increasekeeping the current price would
constitute unlawful underselling, so
future stock will be 100 yen higher (tax included).
I apologize, but thank you for your understanding.

Now for the second story.
The other day, regarding a parts set for SRAM disc brake hoses,
the set on the right in the image above
comes with nuts and boots in addition to the same contents as the set on the left,
yet the Japanese wholesaler's set price (I don't know the home country dollar list price)
is the same for some reason, so I wrote that you shouldn't keep buying the right set unnecessarily!(→here),
but just yesterday while looking into something else, I checked the wholesaler's inventory and
the right set that should have had decent stock was now "out of stock"
and had sold out completely (the left set still has inventory).
I can't say it was solely due to this blog's influence, but
it seems some fellow shop owners have broken their promise.
I... I never imagined anything like this would happen.
