Normally, the 9150 satellite shift unit is attached with cable ties,

but Reckmaunt has released a kit for attaching it with double-sided tape instead.
The instructions explain that cutting thick, high-grip double-sided tape to match the switch shape is quite difficult, so they created this product.

↑Overview

↑How to use

The packaging shows applications not just on handlebars and stems, but also

on their TYPE19 mount as well.
For married Time (wheel brand) riders.

For reasons unclear, the instructions tell you to paint the urethane layer between the double-sided tape layers black with a permanent marker.
Perhaps the material available that meets the performance requirements only comes in gray, but since it looks bad, they're saying to paint it black afterwards.
On a related note, if you fill the hex socket of a stem's mounting bolt with an oil-based marker,
it's surprisingly effective at repelling water and preventing rust.
Though I don't do it myself.
Getting it perfectly black evenly is harder than you'd think, so
I recommend checking it carefully before peeling it off the backing.

↑Before
Since I'm not co-tightening things like a cycle computer mount with the cable tie,
there's no need to be particular about the cable ties.

↑After
Things look much cleaner now.
Ideally the handlebar or stem body would have a flat side surface, but
the adhesion is still more than sufficient.
As with cable ties, it's nice that you no longer need the rubber base that sits under the switch.

While the cycle computer wasn't co-tightened,
the upper junction cable was.
At the time I took the photo it was hanging loose,
but now I've fixed it in a different direction.
