Another day with wheels (and so on).

Built a rear wheel with AL22W rim.

FH-M8000 32H black Champion / Comp 46 JIS laced
Blue aluminum nipples without cross-lacing connections.

I normally build the front wheel with a disc brake rim and the rear wheel with a rim brake rim, using quick-release hubs in 100/135mm width. However, since I prioritized matching XT-grade hubs front and rear, I'm building with a hub that has a disc brake mount and a rim brake rim.
There's no V-brake hub in the current XT lineup, but I'm surprised that quick-release XT hubs are still available. I thought it might be T8000 series XT as trekking components like the T6000 Deore, T4000 Alivio, and T3000 Acera, but it's M8000 with an M designation, so technically these are classified as mountain bike parts.
When centerlock first came out, it included a cap that fit over the splines of the disc mount, but now, while not discontinued, it's optional, so I placed an order for one.
